Duties

Project Fire fighters are primarily employed to support DEWNRs fire suppression and prescribed burning operations. When not directly involved in fire fighting activities, the Project Fire fighter will undertake a broad range of other fire prevention, park management and training activities. This involves working in a wide range of outdoor activities in often demanding and sometimes remote environments for extended periods. Successful Project Fire fighter applicants will commence on the top step of the OPS1 classification level ($47,791 per annum).

 

Special conditions

This is a temporary Term Pool Register for the 2017-18 Prescribed Burn Season (Nov 2017- May 2018). Employment may be offered up to 1/06/2018. A current National Police certificate is essential. Please refer to Role description for further information.
