The Office for Design and Architecture South Australia (ODASA)
is currently seeking an Associate Government Architect to join our
team in the promotion of high quality design to ensure growth and
development in South Australia positively contributes to
liveability, competitiveness and sustainability.
The Associate Government
Architect will provide expert design advice to the State Government
on all matters related to architecture, urban design,
infrastructure delivery and design policy. The Associate
Government Architect will:
- Demonstrate a high level of professional leadership, act
impartially and in the public interest.
- Champion design excellence, innovation and the
state’s Principles of Good Design in the
statutory planning system.
- Co-chair the state’s Design Review program; an
independent and expert peer review program for significant
- Provide advice to Cabinet, the Minister for Planning, the
State Planning Commission and the State Commission Assessment
- Provide support to government capital works procurement
processes and public-private partnerships.
- Maintain effective relationships with architecture,
landscape architecture and urban design schools, the private
sector and associated professional peak bodies.
- Work closely with the South Australian Government by
leading strategic initiatives, supporting design innovation and
raising public awareness of the value and benefits of good

PO5 - $115,454 to $120,908 per
