The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for the development of accounting policies, procedures & processes that support the delivery of high quality, compliant and consistent financial and statutory reporting across the Agency, and leads the preparation of Agency and client boards’ annual statutory financial statements. The Senior Financial Accountant is also responsible for providing leadership to the Senior Accounting Services Officer and support for the Manager, Financial Accounting & Procurement.

Contract: Up to 31/01/2021

Special Conditions:

  • May be required to participate in fire management or associated duties.
  • May be reuqired to undertake intrastate travel and work outside of the normal hours of work.
  • This role has been designated as a Position of Trust pursuant to the standards required in the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework. By applying for this role you consent to being screened under the process of obtaining a National Police Clearance (NPC), and to the Department requiring you to obtain an NPC.

Remuneration:
ASO7 - $101,859 min p.a. to $110,107 max p.a.

Essential Qualifications:

  • An appropriate degree in Accounting, Finance or Business is required.
