Job Description:

The Senior Ecologist provides professional ecological advice and services to inform environmental decision making in South Australia. The role requires the ability to develop and maintain effective partnerships both within and outside the Agency, to coordinate and deliver discrete ecology-focussed projects and tasks to inform planning, implementation and management. In particular, the role will assist with the co-ordination and integration of Agency priority projects and programs under the Healthy Coorong, Healthy Basin work program. It requires a sound and broad understanding of applied ecology in a River Murray and Coorong context.

 Up to 30 June 2022

Education: A tertiary qualification in environment, conservation or a related natural resource management discipline is required.

Special Conditions:

  • May be required to participate in fire management or associated duties.
  • A current driver’s licence is essential, along with a willingness to undertake four-wheel-drive training.
  • May be required to undertake intra or interstate travel and work outside of the normal hours of work.

Remuneration: PO3 - $95,429 min p.a. - $100,887 max p.a.
