Job reference: 418407 Location: 5000 - ADELAIDE Job status: Long Term Contract Eligibility: Open to Everyone Job Description: The Flood Management Officer contributes to the implementation and delivery of various flood management activities as required under the Flood Hazard Leader arrangements identified in the State Emergency Management Plan, including flood risk assessment, flood data management, community education and development of flood management policy and procedures. The Flood Management Officer co-ordinates the development and implementation of project schedules, monitors and evaluates project activities, and manage financial resources, procurement and contracts. The Flood Management Officer provides advice, prepares briefings and reports as required. Contract Length: This position will be available for a period of 2 years. Qualifications: Tertiary degree in Engineering, Science or equivalent, is essential; and emphasis on surface water hydrology or floodplain hydraulics in the tertiary degree or relevant post-graduate qualifications are desirable.
