Job Description:
We're looking for a senior graphic designer to join our team of eight working across everything from signage and traditional publication design, video production and photography to UX design and web development. You'll have at least 7 years experience designing complex communications projects within established brands, managing team members, timelines and production.​

Technical, Professional/Knowledge and Experience (including qualifications)

  • Tertiary qualifications in Visual Communications (or other relevant discipline) are desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to use software and technologies related to graphic design and video production, in particular the Adobe Design Suite (Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Affects, Premiere Pro), Microsoft Office (expert knowledge), Canto Cumulus, NeoFinder, Apple OSX.
  • Experience in the design and production of a wide variety of content such as publications, brochures, short videos, signage, photography for internal communications, event materials, HTML eNewsletters, website design, large format banners, graphic walls, press ads, social media insertions and television commercials is desirable.
  • Demonstrated fundamental and current understanding of graphic design in relation to corporate design and advertising.
  • Shares technical knowledge willingly with team members.

Research Skills

  • Can identify relevant information and is able to appropriately contextualise the information and draw sound conclusions​.

Contract up to 8 June 2022

Special Conditions:

  • May be required to participate in fire management or associated duties.
  • A current class “C” driver’s licence and willingness and ability to safely operate department and Fleet vehicles.
  • Inter and intrastate and remote area travel is required, including travel in light aircraft.
  • May be required to work outside of the normal hours of work.
  • This role has been designated as a Position of Trust pursuant to the standards required in the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework. Applicants must have and provide, or be in the process of obtaining, a National Police Clearance (NPC).

ASO5 $80,830 min - $89,897 max p.a.
