About the opportunity:

An exciting opportunity is now available for a Manager Mining Compliance. We’re seeking a suitably qualified manager to lead the delivery of effective regulatory compliance services that meet industry, government and community needs relating to mining in South Australia. In this role you’ll lead the Mining Compliance and Regulation Program including continuous improvement to regulatory policy, practice, and delivery in the context of proactive compliance services.

Key selection criteria:

  • Experience in leading and managing the delivery of regulatory functions and programs, including the development and implementation of evidence based regulatory decisions.
  • Experience in leading and managing a team.
  • A sound understanding of contemporary and leading regulatory practices, community engagement and conflict resolution principles.
  • Communicates effectively with a wide range of people, communicating complex ideas clearly, with the ability to exercise logic, reasoning and sound judgement in regulatory decision making.

Essential Qualifications:
Degree in Engineering, Geoscience, Environmental Science, Law or equivalent

PO5, $117,254 - $122,722 per annum, plus superannuation
Full time role, working 37.5 hours per week

Special conditions:

  • Out of hours work will be required
  • Intrastate and interstate travel will be required
