ABOUT Us
The South
Australian Certificate of Education Board (SACE Board) of South
Australia’s primary role is the provision of the South
Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) to government,
non-government and international schools.

best outcomes for students and their communities so that SACE

The IMPACT you will drive at the SACE
Board
The
Technical Services Officer is responsible for the ongoing support
of the SACE Board and end user compute (EUC) environment, desktop
fleet, providing L2 and L3 technical support for SACE Board staff
and L2 support to the Electronic Examination program team and
schools IT staff.
What you will BRING
- Demonstrated
interpersonal and communication skills of a high standard to
build positive client and stakeholder relationships with a
focus on service delivery.
- Demonstrated ability
to work independently and collaboratively within and across
teams to achieve agreed outcomes.
- Demonstrated skills
in planning and negotiating and the ability to determine
priorities with limited direction whilst attending to a variety
of tasks with varying urgency and complexity.
- Demonstrated ability
to assist and support level 1 service desk team
members.
- Experience in
managing and supporting a corporate EUC environments, Microsoft
O365 tenancies and applications and local area networks, both
wired and wireless.
- Extensive experience
in supporting end users with end user compute desktop and local
area network issues and support calls.
- Experience in
supporting the deployment of EUC, desktop and O365
projects.
- Experience in SOE
management and software deployment and packaging.
Desirable
- An
understanding of the present economic, industrial, legal,
social and cultural environments within South Australia and
their impact upon the provision of government education,
training, employment and administration.
- Windows PowerShell
or other scripting knowledge
- Knowledge in
deploying and supporting locked down browser environments
providing secure access to web applications and
services
Qualifications
An
appropriate tertiary qualification in Information Technology or
equivalent qualifications or experience
Special
Conditions
- Intrastate travel to
regional and remote locations / interstate travel may be
required.
- Annual performance
agreement for the achievement of specific service or program
outcomes.
- Some
out-of-hours work may be required.
- The
incumbent works under the SACE Board of South Australia Act
1983.
- An
intense time of activity within the SACE Board of South
Australia occurs between October and December. For some roles,
the incumbent would not normally be able to take planned leave
during this period.
- Appointment is
subject to a satisfactory Working with Children Check obtained
through the Screening Unit, Department of Human
Services.

Remuneration
$73,217 -
$76,750 per annum (ASO4)
This is a
contract/term vacancy for up to 3 years.
