About the opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has become available for a
Senior Project Manager – Mine Completion.
The Department for Energy and Mining is seeking an experienced
environmental project manager with expertise in rehabilitation and
mine closure. The Senior Project Manager – Mine
Completion manages mine/quarry remediation projects under
the jurisdiction of the Department, including the former Brukunga
mine site, and assesses and monitors safety and environmental risks
at historic mine sites across the state. The role provides
expert advice on mine site remediation to ensure post mining
environmental outcomes are achieved.

Key selection criteria:

- Extensive experience in rehabilitation and/or
remediation works within the mining industry
- Experience in planning and managing projects
- Understanding of the principles of environmental
impact/risk identification and management in the mining
- An effective communicator, with high levels of initiative,
innovation and demonstrate a capacity for analytical
Degree in Science, or Environmental Management or Engineering
related to the resources industry
PO3 $96,860 - $102,400 per annum
Full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week
- This is a term vacancy for up to 2 years.
- Position is based in Adelaide and Brukunga.
