About the opportunity:
The Geological Survey of South Australia has initiated a new
project, South Australian Discovery Mapping (SADM), to modernise
the capture, management, delivery and scope of the state’s
precompetitive geological map datasets, creating a modern,
world-class geoscience data asset and data platform. This platform
will provide the best available geological mapping and associated
geological data, in a machine-ready, integrated, seamless and
up-to-date dataset, via modern digital systems, to enable a
data-driven exploration revolution in South Australia.

Key selection criteria:

- Demonstrated leadership, technical skills and knowledge
within the professional discipline of Enterprise GIS
- Expert knowledge and experience in the ESRI enterprise
suite of GIS software
- Ability to develop productive working relationships with
peers, staff and stakeholders by initiating contact, building
rapport, understanding needs and delivering to
- Ability to communicate effectively and express ideas
clearly and coherently, both verbally and in writing.
- Bachelor's Degree majoring in GIS, geology or equivalent
related field - essential.
- Post graduate qualifications or extensive recognised
experience in applied GIS or Enterprise GIS or cloud
technologies – highly desirable.
PO3 $98,313 - $103,396 per annum
Full time role, working 37.5 hours per week
- This is a contract vacancy, until project end date or
up to 24 months (whichever comes first).
