About the opportunity:

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Manager Mining Assessments. The Manager Mining Assessments is responsible for leading and managing the regulatory assessment of mining lease proposals and operational programs in accordance with sound risk and science-based assessment principles. The role provides leadership to regulatory service delivery, process reform and business improvements.

*Flexitime enables employees to negotiate start and finish times, within a range of core business hours, without increasing or reducing the total number of hours worked when averaged over a four-week cycle.


Key selection criteria:

  • Experience in leading and managing the delivery of regulatory functions and programs
  • Experience in leading and managing a team, including through periods of change
  • Sound understanding of the mining industry, the major issues, trends and developments in the industry and the implications for the future direction
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of people, building productive working relationships with peers, other work colleagues and stakeholders


Essential qualifications:
Degree in Engineering, Geoscience or Environmental Science relevant to the resources industry. 


Remuneration:
PO5, an attractive salary package may be negotiated
Full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week


Special conditions:

  • Out of hours work will be required
  • Intra and interstate travel may be required
