About the opportunity:

Working within a high-performing team the Project Engineer will join the team driving South Australia’s leadership in electric vehicle uptake and smart charging.

The Project Engineer will play a pivotal role supporting a range of projects within the Major Projects group by representing the government’s interests through the engineering, design, construction, commissioning of energy related projects. Current projects with the group include the state-wide electric vehicle charging network and smart charging trials.

Key selection criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience in project management of electrical infrastructure construction projects.
  • Ability to build, facilitate and foster effective relationships with a range of internal/external stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal skills – ability to create meaningful reports and proposals.
  • Demonstrated experience and contemporary understanding of energy systems and markets in Australia.


  • Essential: Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or similar relevant field. 
  • Desirable: Qualifications and/or training incorporating units/modules in Project Management would be advantageous. 

PO3 $96,860 - $102,400 per annum
Full time role, working 37.5 hours per week
