About the Role:
The  Coastal Engineer is responsible for providing assistance in the oversight of coastal engineering investigations, providing advice relating to engineering matters, procuring and administering consultancy and works contracts and undertaking other engineering tasks related to the management of Adelaide’s beaches. These tasks include duties related to procurement, the preparation of contract documentation and site supervising the sand pumping pipeline, harbour dredging, sand carting and coastal protection work contracts across South Australia. The Coastal Engineer will also be required to support the assessment of coastal development applications.

12 Month Contract

Essential Qualifications:
Degree level qualification in Engineering (civil or environmental)

Special Conditions:

  • May be required to participate in fire management or associated duties.
  • Some intrastate travel requiring overnight absence will be required.
  • Out of hours work may be required.
