About the Role:
The Project and Engagement Officer will contribute to the
delivery of the South Australia's pilot Bioregional Planning
project. The role will contribute to various phases of the project,
including program planning and project management, collaborating
with the project team, support project governance arrangements and
develop and deliver stakeholder engagement materials and
activities. The role will apply expert knowledge to develop
communication strategies appropriate for First Nations and
stakeholder engagement, managing communication channels with
forward planning to ensure information in relaton to the project
reaches intended audiences and achieves communcation and engagement
objectives. The role will ensure that stakeholder groups are
actively engaged regarding the project and outcomes through
building and maintaining relationships that support
undertaking complex project and related work, as required.

Contract:
18 month contract
Essential Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in communications, community
engagement, or a related area is desirable.
- Extensive knowledge of contemporary communication and
engagement strategies including stakeholder
management.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills,
including experience in scientific communication.
- Experience in First Nations engagement is desirable
including ethical handling of sensitive cultural knowledge and
data.
- Ability to influence the views and actions of key
stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
- Experience in freely transferring in-depth knowledge to
non-technical audiences.
- Significant experience in managing projects preferably in
government or public sector settings.
Special Conditions:
- May be required to participate in fire management or
associated duties.
- Current class "C" driver's license and willingness to drive
is desirable.
- May be required to undertake intra or interstate travel and
work outside of the normal hours of work.
Remuneration:
ASO6, $98,478 min - $104,165 max p.a., pro rata for part time
hours.
