Are you looking for a diverse and interesting opportunity to promote some of South Australia’s iconic museums, events, education programs and history activities? The History Trust is looking for a Multimedia Designer to cover a short term 6 month maternity contract

The Opportunity:

The Multimedia Designer contributes to the effective marketing of the History Trust of South Australia and its museums, exhibitions, programs, education programs, events, digital presence and initiatives through the design and production of quality marketing and exhibition materials.

Key components of the role:

  • Implement a corporate identity in a consistent manner whilst complying with branding guidelines and identify priorities from a busy work program.
  • Contribute to the marketing, branding and promotional activities of the History Trust by effective forward planning, implementing and monitoring of digital design, graphic design and printing requirements under the direction of the Manager, Marketing and Communications.
  • Develop creative and technically resolved digital design that meets accessibility, brand and style guidelines and promotes design excellence for digital and print projects.
  • Design and produce corporate materials and contribute to the orientation of visitors to the Museums by developing signage and promotional displays.
  • Design and produce materials for exhibitions, marketing and public programs incorporating advertising, education programs, brochures, invitations, promotional collateral, and signage, across traditional and digital media.
  • Oversee the correct application of the History Trust and museum brands across all marketing, exhibition and digital materials.
  • Take a key role in exhibition design liaison ensuring projects are delivered to History Trust design standards and design continuity across projects is maintained.
  • Manage production processes associated with the digital design and production of marketing and exhibition materials including pre-press, proofing and installation.
  • Work within a planned work schedule to ensure materials are delivered accurately and on time.
  • Maintain an awareness of new techniques, materials and digital tools to ensure the organisation’s identity remains contemporary.
  • Assist with minor museum exhibition maintenance as required.

 

Special Conditions:

Some out of hours work may be required. Occasional weekend work may be required. Engagement in this role is subject to a satisfactory Department of Human Services Working with Children Check. Intrastate and interstate travel may be required and a current driver’s licence is desirable. 

Remuneration:

TGO3 $84,159-$88,852 (1.0 FTE) plus 11.5% superannuation.
