Workplace Benefits

We want our employees to not only have great career opportunities, we want them to have great workplace benefits too. As a South Australian Public Sector employee you have access to some great benefits through Super SA and our sole salary packaging service provider Maxxia.

Salary Packaging – paying for things with your before tax salary

As a full-time, part-time, casual or contract employee of the South Australian Government, you are eligible to pay for certain expenses with your pre-tax salary. This reduces your taxable income, meaning you may pay less tax to increase your disposable income.

Super SA

Super SA offers SA Public Sector employees the choice of two great ways to grow their super by making salary sacrifice or after-tax contributions.

As a South Australian Public Sector employee, you can arrange to salary sacrifice directly into your super and take advantage of the uncapped contributions that apply only to Super SA members.

You also have an opportunity to receive an extra 0.5 per cent contribution to your super each pay day for free, just by making regular after-tax contributions. If you contribute 4.5 per cent or more to your super after tax, you receive 10 per cent super from your public sector employer, instead of the usual 9.5 per cent.

Super SA also offers free education seminars to all its members, providing information on ways to grow your super, insurance, investment options and a range of other super and retirement topics.

Maxxia

Maxxia is the SA Public Sector’s sole service provider for salary sacrifice and novated leasing, which makes it simple for you to access these benefits. Our partnership highlights the SA Public Sector’s commitment to being an Employer of Choice.

Maxxia’s local South Australian team work in partnership with SA Government employees to deliver a range of benefits through salary packaging.
