Make an Impact as an Emergency Consultant with YNLHN! We are excited to be able to offer Consultant posts within the newly developed division of Emergency and Acute Medical services at YNLHN. Although the working environment has improved over the last year, there is still plenty to do to improve our processes. If you feel enthused about utilising your skills by joining a forward looking and moving clinical service, this may be the job for you! We are looking for applicants who will be keen to make a real difference to patient care by providing clinical leadership, training and supporting clinical governance. The region has a fledgling GP training scheme that we wish to expand in the next few years. Recently, there has been a significant investment in junior staffing across both Port Pirie and Wallaroo hospitals that have contributed positively to the working environment, leading to increased clinical safety and efficiency. There are Consultant posts available at Wallaroo Emergency Department and Port Pirie Emergency Department. Both departments have seen a 10% increase in attendances over the last year All applicants must have attained a post-graduate qualification or be within six months of attaining this. Doctors who have attained FACEM, FRACGP and FACRRM are welcome to apply. Key Responsibilities:
What We're Looking For: We're seeking a dedicated and experienced medical practitioner who holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, with appropriate specialist qualifications such as FACEM, FACRRM, or FRACGP. Ideally looking for a 0.5 to 1.0 full time equivalent commitment, however all applications will be considered. You must be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration, or hold an equivalent qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award. The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to work independently, lead clinical teams, and deliver high-quality emergency care in a multidisciplinary setting.
