Midwifery Group Practice - Grow your skills, and support the community Overview The Yorke and Northern Local Health Network (YNLHN) is currently seeking passionate and dedicated Midwives to join our Midwifery Candidate Pool. This candidate pool provides a pathway to permanent, temporary, and casual opportunities within our Midwifery Group Practice. As a Midwife with YNLHN, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, woman-centred care that supports positive health outcomes for women, babies and their families across our regional communities. Working as part of a collaborative and supportive team, you will contribute to the provision of safe, evidence-based maternity care throughout the continuum of pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period. About the Position: The YNLHN Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) commenced in the region in 2019 and was one of the first MGP models in regional South Australia, with a total of 5 birthing suites with the network, there are approximately 540 births across the network and up to 700 women cared for. The YNLHN is an all risk MGP model delivering Midwifery care in hospitals with a level 3 capability. Midwives in the YNLHN work within the Australian Midwifery Council consultation and referral guidelines and lead maternity care collegially with GP Obstetricians and Obstetric Specialists in the provision of Perinatal care of the women in the MGP model. Within the YNLHN our Midwives work to their scope of practice, YNLHN encourages Midwives towards endorsement and credentialing, leadership opportunities, women's health specialisation and ongoing professional development to be the best Midwife they can be.
