Whyalla Hospital and Health Services is one of the largest regional hospitals in South Australia, offering 75 beds, including flex beds and a dedicated High Dependency Unit. We provide a comprehensive range of services, including emergency care, medical and surgical services, maternity, rehabilitation, mental health, and outpatient clinics. Our Cancer Resource Centre is among the largest in regional SA, featuring six chemotherapy chairs, outpatient care, and counselling services - helping patients receive vital treatment close to home. We are also proud to be one of only three regional stroke services in South Australia, delivering specialised stroke treatment 24/7 in partnership with metropolitan stroke units. About the Role:

Step into a rewarding Clinical Nurse (RN/M2C) role where you will deliver high-quality care while building on your experience and clinical expertise. You will take accountability for your own practice, support and guide less experienced staff, and contribute to a collaborative, learning-focused team environment. While remaining primarily clinical, you will also undertake portfolio responsibilities aligned to your professional development goals.

Start your career as a Registered Nurse (RN/M1) where you'll provide essential nursing care while developing from a novice to a proficient practitioner. You will gain valuable hands-on experience and ongoing learning opportunities to strengthen your skills and clinical capability. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering safe, effective care and supporting delegated activities, building your confidence and professional practice over time.

 

About You:

RN/M2C

• You must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. 
• You must be a registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience.
• You must have demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
• You must have experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses.

RN/M1

• You must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. 
• You must have demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.

Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category A (direct contact with blood or body substances)
