The Role:

The Technical Lead and Architect provides technical expertise and architecture service across PlanSA and collaborates with the PlanSA leadership team to develop and maintain a technology roadmap, closely aligned to the PlanSA business drivers.

The technology roadmap focuses on strategic implementation of cloud first ICT solutions as well as enhancements to the existing PlanSA systems with clear business benefit realisation goals. The PlanSA IT system comprises of multiple sub-systems including:

  • Development Application Processing System (DAP)
  • Plan SA Portal
  • Planning Information Exchange
  • Online Planning & Design Code
  • Online Consultation
  • Document Management System
  • Operational Data Store.

About You:

To be successful in this position, you must be able to demonstrate experience across the following key capabilities:

  • Demonstrated experience leading IT services and technical staff, in accordance with industry best practice processes and quality standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships to resolve conflict and negotiate to deliver effective and timely solutions in complex environments.
  • Proven ability to think creatively and laterally, analyse information, identify issues and use sound judgement to solve problems and address difficult and complex issues and situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage performance indicators and drive technical improvements to deliver business benefits.
  • Sound knowledge of modern software application platforms and services, including IT Cloud technologies.
  • Sound knowledge of software development lifecycle and IT Support and delivery methodologies (ITIL, SDLC, Agile Practices).

Special Conditions:

Successful applicants may be required to obtain a satisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check prior to employment. A renewal will be required every 3 years.

Remuneration:

ASO8– $125,649 min – $130,392 max plus superannuation.
