Visionary and inspirational leader
Lead system-wide reform
Support excellence in the delivery of healthcare to South Australians

The South Australian Department for Health and Wellbeing has responsibility for the setting of strategic direction and statewide policy, as well as the performance of the public health system through high level system direction and performance management.  SA Health is how we describe the public health system as a whole.  It includes the Department, ten local health networks, SA Ambulance and other associated health service delivery entities.

A Chief Executive is now sought to provide executive leadership for a large and complex service delivery system, leading the strategic direction, governance and performance of the public health system in South Australia.  This includes overseeing the development and implementation of statewide health policies, plans and priorities, with a strong focus on improving patient flow, and on ensuring equitable access to high-quality health services for country South Australians. The role also encompasses the effective delivery, coordination and integration of health services, and maintaining system-wide accountability for quality, safety and financial sustainability.

If you believe you have the strategic leadership skills, passion, commitment and successful track record to drive change, innovation and performance improvement across the SA public health system, we would like to hear from you.
