Deputy Coordinator General (SAES2)

The Coordinator General’s Office is seeking an exceptional senior executive for the role of Deputy Coordinator General - a rare opportunity to influence State‑shaping development, economic priorities and long‑term prosperity for South Australians.

About the Role

In this pivotal leadership position, you will work at the centre of government to coordinate and accelerate major projects, including AUKUS‑related initiatives, key economic precincts and housing supply priorities. You will provide strategic direction to the Coordinator General’s Office, assist with overseeing its statutory functions, and work closely with Ministers, agencies, industry and communities to deliver efficient, responsible and future‑focused outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate projects of State significance
• Streamline regulatory and planning pathways to support timely development
• Provide authoritative advice to senior leaders, Ministers and Cabinet
• Build trusted relationships across industry as well as with local, State and Federal government
• Represent or act for the Coordinator General as required

About You

You are an influential, high‑performing executive with deep experience in complex government, planning, development, regulatory or major project environments. You excel at problem‑solving, stakeholder engagement and navigating politically sensitive issues. Your leadership is strategic, collaborative and outcomes‑oriented.
