About the role
Due to an internal promotion, Renewal SA is seeking an experienced Project Analyst. The Project Analyst will assist with the day-to-day financial management and accounting for assigned projects and activities of Renewal SA. This includes working with the Senior Finance Business Partner, Project Accountant and Financial Planning and Analysis team to provide effective accounting and financial management services, preparing, and maintaining operating and capital budgets and forecasts and ensuring the relevant and accurate analysis of financial performance is undertaken and reported on.
- Maintaining accurate and up to date project financials including, reconciliation of costs for recovery purpose and expense tracking
- Assisting in the month end process, including preparation of accruals and journal entries
- Preparing and maintaining capital budgets and whole-of-life financial models to ensure currency, accuracy, and correct forecasting.
- Contributing to the provision of relevant and accurate business insight and analysis that explains financial results, performance against targets and trends.
Who we are looking for
You're a detail-oriented and analytical professional who enjoys working with data to support informed decision-making. You thrive in a collaborative environment, balancing multiple priorities while ensuring accuracy and integrity in financial and project reporting.
You will bring:
- Experience or exposure to project financial management, management accounting, or data analysis
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Sound analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends
- Good stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams
- Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis
- A tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field
