We have a great opportunity for you to join our Finance team at Port Pirie Regional Health Service as a Finance Officer on a temporary basis up to 17 July 2026.

In this short-term contract role, you will be responsible for supporting the Finance Team Leader in the efficient processing of financial receipting function for the Yorke and Northern Local Health Network.  Key responsibilities:

  • Attend to customer enquiries, receive and receipt over the counter payments.
  • Provide accurate receipting and preparation of all revenue for banking, maintain balances and month end reconciliations.
  • Supporting team members and undertaking other duties necessary to meet team objectives.

Essential Criteria

It is essential that applicants for this role have:

  • Demonstrated analytical ability to interpret financial data and implement effective solutions
  • Proven experience in finance systems and hospital/medical billing, with accurate data entry
  • Capacity to manage high workloads independently while contributing effectively within a team
  • Maintains professional integrity and confidentiality, with strong written and oral communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of hospital billing processes and commitment to quality, WH&S, and client focused service
