Role Details

The Governance and Administration Officer supports the State Library's strategic and operational objectives through the coordination and delivery of governance, risk, compliance and assurance functions. The role is responsible for maintaining key governance frameworks and registers, including risk management, legislative compliance, document control and financial delegations. It coordinates internal and external audits, supports business continuity, response and recovery planning, and assists managers to meet statutory, regulatory and oversight obligations. The position prepares and supports accurate governance, compliance, performance and statutory reporting, including contributions to the Annual Report, using finance and related systems to analyse and monitor data. The role also oversees the review of regulations and completion of assurance actions and works closely with the Finance team to ensure compliance with delegated authorities and audit requirements. High-quality administrative and coordination support is provided to the Corporate Services team, with a strong focus on accuracy, accountability and good governance practice.

Special Conditions
  • The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.
  • The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
  • This role requires a National Criminal History check.

Salary Range

$79,432 - $83,266 p.a.
