This may include individual and family therapeutic work, group programs, health promotion, and community development activities. Professionals appointed at this level will consolidate and expand their clinical knowledge and skills through continuous development and experience. You will accept accountability for your own practice standards and for the activities you delegate to others, ensuring care is delivered safely, ethically, and in alignment with recovery-oriented principles.
Key Responsibilities: Clinical Nurse (RN/M2C) Deliver specialised, evidence-based mental health care for older people across a range of settings. You will use your clinical experience to plan, implement, and evaluate care, while supporting less experienced staff and maintaining accountability for your practice. Primarily a clinical role, it also includes portfolio responsibilities aligned with your professional development, contributing to high-quality service delivery and improved outcomes for older consumers.
Associate Nurse Unit Manager (RN/M2A) Provide high-quality nursing/midwifery care while supporting the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager. You will take accountability for your practice, guide junior staff, and help ensure consistent, patient-centred care. The role includes involvement in staffing, rostering, recruitment, and performance processes, as well as supporting resource and financial management. This position combines clinical practice with leadership responsibilities, offering the opportunity to develop management skills and contribute to a positive, high-performing team environment.
