About the role

The Early Years Curriculum and Learning directorate leads the development, implementation and continuous improvement of early years curriculum and pedagogical guidance aligned to the South Australian Curriculum for Public Education, the Early Years Learning Framework, the National Quality Standard and the Department’s Strategy for Public Education. It works collaboratively to co-design curriculum supports, tools and initiatives, informed by stakeholder feedback, and monitors and reports on progress to drive system improvement.

The Early Years of Schooling Partner contributes to this work through statewide expertise in evidence informed pedagogy, assessment and curriculum, with a focus on transition to primary school and the early years of schooling. The role enables a connected, strategic approach to curriculum implementation, strengthening practice and improving learning outcomes for children aged 4–8 years.

Qualifications

Essential: Current full teacher registration.

Desirable: Nil.

Special conditions

The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.

The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration

STL3 $152,287 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%)
