About the role

Statewide Inclusive Education Services (SIES) is a specialist statewide operational unit within the Inclusive Teaching and Learning Directorate. The Physiotherapist will be part of the Conductive Education Service, which supports children and young people with physical disabilities.

The position will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to implement a service delivery model centred on building self-advocacy and self-efficacy in children and young people, as well as strengthening the capability of the educators who support them.

The role requires demonstrated skills and experience in managing a caseload, along with the ability to work collaboratively within a team to support students with physical disabilities in alignment with the principles of Conductive Education. This includes enabling access to the learning curriculum and promoting the development and maintenance of physical independence and overall wellbeing.

Qualifications

Essential: A recognised qualification within the Physiotherapy profession and be eligible for full membership of the Physiotherapy Board of Australia. All requirements to obtain and maintain current registration must be fulfilled.

Desirable: Nil.

Special conditions

The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.

The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration

AHP2 $91,785 - $106,330 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) + leave loading and applicable allowances.
