About the role
Join our Orthotics and Prosthetics team at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital in this exciting multi-classified AHP1/AHP2/AHP3 opportunity. Deliver specialised care to children and young people while developing your career within a supportive, innovative and multidisciplinary clinical environment.
This is a rare multi-classified opportunity offering appointment at the AHP1, AHP2 or AHP3 level depending on qualifications, experience and demonstrated capability. Whether you are an early-career clinician or graduate looking to build your expertise, an experienced practitioner seeking greater autonomy, or a senior clinician ready to provide leadership and mentorship, we encourage you to apply.
Key duties of the role
- Provide high-quality Orthotic and Prosthetic assessment, intervention and ongoing management for children and young people with a range of clinical needs.
- Deliver evidence-based, client-centred care, developing treatment plans that optimise function, mobility and quality of life.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families and external providers to support coordinated care and positive client outcomes.
- Contribute to service development, quality improvement, clinical governance and the implementation of contemporary Orthotic and Prosthetic practices.
- Support education, research and professional development activities, with opportunities to mentor, supervise and provide clinical leadership commensurate with experience and classification level.
Skills and Experience
- Degree qualification in Orthotics and Prosthetics (or equivalent recognised qualification), with eligibility for relevant professional membership requirements.
- Demonstrated clinical experience in Orthotic and Prosthetic practice, with classification and remuneration aligned to skills, experience and professional capability.
- Strong clinical reasoning, assessment and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage a diverse clinical caseload.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to collaborative multidisciplinary practice and client-centred care.
- Commitment to continuous learning, quality improvement, evidence-based practice and the delivery of safe, high-quality healthcare services.
