The Department for
Infrastructure and Transport plays a vital role connecting people
and places in South Australia by managing roads, marine and public
transport networks across the State, and builds and maintains the
State-owned infrastructure that enables the delivery of essential
and important government services to our community.
The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape the department’s
enterprise-wide audit function. As Team Leader, Audit, you will
guide a skilled team, provide expert advice, and help strengthen
operational integrity while managing risk across the
organisation.
You will build strong relationships with internal clients and
external stakeholders, mentor and support your team, and play a key
role in promoting a culture of accountability, transparency, and
continuous improvement.
About You
You are an experienced leader who motivates and guides your team to
deliver high-quality, strategically aligned outcomes. You enjoy
building strong relationships with stakeholders, providing clear
advice, and successfully navigating complex or sensitive
issues.
You take ownership of priorities, act decisively, and apply your
expertise to develop innovative solutions and manage risk. You are
confident communicating complex ideas clearly, resolving
challenges, and driving continuous improvement across the
organisation.
Educational Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary
qualifications or equivalent experience is highly
desirable.
- Postgraduate
qualification, e.g. CA, CPA, CIA, or a similar audit
qualification is highly desirable.
Special
Conditions
- A National Police
Check (NPC) is required prior to employment in the Department
for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every
three years.
- Some out of hours and
weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring
overnight stays, may be required.
Tenure of
Vacancy
Temporary up to 12 months with potential for ongoing
Remuneration
ASO8 $125,649 to $130,392 pa + superannuation.
