About the role

The Youth Worker will be actively engaging in the care and education of Anangu Secondary Students undertaking secondary education at Avenues College and boarding at Wiltja Boarding located in Lightsview. The Youth Worker will also actively contribute to the social and educational outcomes of students. They will also be involved in a health, wellbeing, educational and recreational programs delivered to students.



Qualifications

Essential: A professional qualification in Youth Work or an allied field

Desirable: Nil



Special conditions

The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.

The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration

OPS3 $71,589 - $76,033 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%)

  • 1 x Full-Time (1.0 FTE) Male Youth Worker
  • 2 x Part-Time (0.5 FTE) Youth Workers (one male, one female)
