Full time roles

As part of a small crew based at either Mount Crawford or Kuitpo depots, you’ll support a wide range of forestry operations. This includes both fire-related and general forest work. Your tasks will vary with the season and daily needs, but may include:

Casual roles

The casual roles work primarily on weekends and support fire fighting operations. There may be some opportunity for weekday work including supporting forest operations as required.

  • A high level of motivation and a readiness to take on physically demanding work
  • A safety-first approach and ability to follow instructions and procedures
  • A positive attitude and the flexibility to work in changing conditions
  • The ability to stay calm, focused and cooperative in challenging or high-pressure situations (e.g. during fire response)
  • A commitment to showing up for your crew and contributing to ForestrySA’s values of respect, professionalism and collaboration.

Successful applicants will be required to work on a roster system which includes weekends, public holidays and after-hours, which include light work, standby and fire response as required.
