About the role

Are you passionate about making a difference in remote education and community development? The Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Trade Training Centre (APY TTC) at Umuwa is seeking an Accommodation Manager to play a vital role in supporting Anangu students on their path to industry-ready skills and their Year 12 certificate.

You will oversee the daily operation of a welcoming 24-bed student accommodation facility, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and a supportive atmosphere for all guests. Working closely with Centre Management, you will contribute to the centre’s success by supporting catering, housekeeping, and centre activities, helping drive positive educational outcomes for students in the Far North.

 

Qualifications

Essential: Nil

Desirable: Relevant vocational qualification and/or licenses including food safety / preparation / catering and/or accommodation service. Provide First Aid certification.



Special conditions

The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.

The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration

ASO6 $102,171 - $108,071 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) and leave loading.
