About Us

Picture a career that’s more than numbers. At the Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF), we’re building a world‑class Treasury for South Australia—one that’s innovative, collaborative, and future‑focused.

We’re South Australia’s lead agency for economic, digital, and financial policy outcomes. Our work touches every corner of the state, from enabling frontline services to driving digital transformation. And we do it all with one purpose: to make life better for the people who call South Australia home.

Why This Role Matters

The Government’s primary financial management system Masterpiece, used by most SA Government agencies excluding SA Health, is over 30 years old and nearing the end of its service life. The Finance Reform Program is leading a major initiative to replace it with Oracle and implement best practice processes. This transformation will significantly change how finance functions are performed across agencies and affect a wide range of stakeholders, including finance, ICT, and operations teams.

As a Change Business Analyst, you’ll help deliver a once-in-a-generation transformation of government financial systems—shaping how services are delivered, improving efficiency, and supporting better outcomes across South Australia.

About the Opportunity

You’ll play a critical role in the Finance Reform Program, helping deliver a modern financial management system that will transform how government agencies operate.

In this role, you will:

  • Analyse current processes to unlock smarter, more efficient ways of working
  • Design future-ready processes aligned to modern systems and best practice
  • Partner with stakeholders to shape consistent, high-quality service delivery
  • Support the rollout of a new financial system across government agencies
  • Contribute to meaningful change that improves efficiency and user experience
  • Connect business needs with technical solutions to deliver real outcomes

Remuneration

ASO6 ($102,171 - $108,071 p.a.) + 12% Superannuation

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Brings strong experience in business process mapping and analysis
  • Enjoys solving complex problems and turning insights into practical solutions
  • Builds trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Can prioritise competing demands and deliver high-quality outcomes
  • Works collaboratively while also thriving independently
  • Is curious, analytical and motivated to improve how services are delivered
