Remuneration: ASO6 ($102,171 - $108,071) plus 12% superannuation

Join the Department for Child Protection as a Senior Return to Work Coordinator in the Adelaide CBD. In this role, you will provide professional support and advice relating to work-injured employees. You will be responsible for developing and implementing return-to-work plans and monitoring recovery progress. This position plays a central role in coordinating return-to-work services, ensuring clear communication and well-aligned support through close collaboration with a broad range of stakeholders.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide effective and sustainable vocational rehabilitation and injury management consultation services
  • Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to implement outcome focused, process driven return to work goals
  • Determine return-to-work barriers and develop worker-specific case management strategies
  • Develop high-quality reports and correspondence to assist in managing claims and the return-to-work process
  • Deliver expert advice, support and training to departmental personnel on injury management principles and processes.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills, combined with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. You will use this skill set to build relationships with workers, advocates, line managers and treatment professionals, to resolve issues and negotiate constructive outcomes.

Strong knowledge of South Australian workers’ compensation legislation is required, along with a comprehensive understanding of available return-to-work services for workers and employers. It will be well regarded if you have familiarity across other state and national frameworks.

Special Conditions:

Essential: 2-3 years’ experience in injury management, workers' compensation or as a return-to-work consultant.
