Join Our Elite Operating Theatre Team - Multiple Registered Nurse Opportunities
Step into the heart of surgical excellence as a part of our dedicated team at Flinders Medical Centre. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Operating Theatres, with multiple scrub and scout positions available on 5-day and 7-day roster configurations. This position is for registered nurses ready to grow and develop within a supported surgical environment. You will be given opportunity to consolidate your existing knowledge while developing advanced perioperative skills through hands-on experience and continuous professional development opportunities. This full-time or part-time, ongoing opportunity offers the chance to provide expert perioperative care across diverse surgical specialties while advancing your nursing career in a supportive, innovative environment.
About the role:
- Assess individual patient/client needs, plan, implement and/or coordinate appropriate service delivery as a scrub & scout nurse within the operating theatre suite.
- Actively contribute to the development of an integrated team approach and culture which is highly responsive to the needs of our consumers.
- Provide proficient, person centred, clinical nursing/midwifery care and/or individual case management to patients/clients in a defined clinical area
- Participate in clinical teaching, overseeing learning experience, and goal setting for students, new staff and staff with less experience;
About you:
- Demonstrated competence in scrub/scout perioperative nursing practice in accordance with the relevant standards
- Proven experience in delivering high quality and safe care consistent with the National Safety and Quality Health Care Service Standards
- Ability to be, creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within a healthcare setting.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
To be considered for the RN2C (Clinical Nurse) level you must have at least three years, full time equivalent, post registration experience with experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses.
Please note that this position is multi-classed as either a RN/M1 and RN/M2C classification will be determined by qualifications and experience.
