As a Traffic Access Engineer, you’ll assess traffic management proposals, analyse impacts to the network, and help ensure the safe, smooth flow of people and goods. You’ll also track meaningful projects, provide valuable technical support, and help maintain the integrity of network millions rely on every day. About you 

You work collaboratively to deliver quality outcomes and support performance improvement. A clear and tactful communicator, you liaise confidently at all levels. You understand relevant discipline areas, including associated risks and emerging issues. Flexible and adaptable, you adjust easily to changing priorities. With strong analytical skills, you interpret complex information and produce clear, timely advice, reports and correspondence to support effective decision making.

Educational Qualifications /Licences 

  • Degree in Engineering or other relevant degree level qualification.
  • Current drivers’ licence is essential.

Special Conditions

  • A National Police Check (NPC) which is required to employment with the Department of Infrastructure and Transport and is required to be renewed every three years.
  • A Department for Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check (WWCC) which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
  • Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.

Tenure of Vacancy

Temporary appointment up to one (1) year.

Remuneration

PO1 - $71,046 to $86,729 pa + superannuation
