About the role
This role provides financial and administrative support across
Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, inter-business processes,
Special Purpose Funds, Scheme A administration, and purchase card
management, while acting as a liaison between Shared Services SA
and Business Units
Finance Support Officer:
Key duties of the role
- Support the delivery of a customer focused liaison role for
management, staff and the public in relation to assigned
tasks
- Assist to ensure monthly tasks are completed within
expected timeframes
- The effective day to day operation of the Finance
Department
Skills and Experience
- Ability to work as a member of a team in a manner that
fosters the co-operation and support of team members
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills (written and
verbal) including the ability to deal with both internal and
external clients
- Experience working in a financial environment and using
Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of the GST taxation requirements
Revenue Officer:
Key duties of the role
- Provides accurate and timely hospital billing
administration, including patient invoicing, claims processing,
stakeholder liaison, payment reconciliation, and
reporting.
- Assist in the efficient and effective financial management
of the portfolio
- Maintains Accounts Receivable and cashiering functions,
including receipting, debtor follow-up, banking,
reconciliations, and revenue recovery activities.
- Manages patient debt cases and supports hospital revenue
services, including debt follow-up, reporting, enquiries, and
related clerical and administrative duties.
Skills and Experience
- Ability to analyse information, solve problems, and
prioritise workload effectively
- Accurate data entry with strong computer and financial
system skills
- Able to work independently with initiative, integrity, and
confidentiality
- Experience in customer service, financial data entry,
billing/receivables, and cashiering processes
