Job reference: 831189 Location: 5000 - ADELAIDE Job status: Long Term Contract Eligibility: Open to Everyone Classification: ASO4 About the Opportunity The WHS Support Officer supports SafeWork SA’s advisory and information services by providing practical, timely and accurate work health and safety advice to PCBUs, workers and the broader community. The role focuses on assisting businesses to understand and meet their obligations under WHS legislation, building capability to manage workplace risks, and contributing to improved safety outcomes through high-quality customer service and stakeholder engagement. Key Responsibilities Provide support to the Education Team (Advisory, Library, Licensing) as required (locations Keswick/CBD) Escalation point to the Help Centre Staff Coordinate proactive campaigns and advisory events
About the Business SafeWork SA is a business unit within Attorney-General’s Department and is responsible for providing work, health and safety, public safety, and state-based industrial relations services across South Australia. As a regulator, our Investigators and Inspectors ensure work, health and safety, and public safety standards are met, and appropriate action is taken when breaches of laws are detected. We also help people better understand their work health and safety responsibilities.

Special Conditions for Employment Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory.
