Role Details
The Senior Finance Officer supports the Manager, Finance, Risk and Compliance in delivering the State Library's core finance, risk, and procurement functions. The role has a strong operational focus and contributes directly to financial governance, compliance, and organisational performance. Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring financial performance, managing reconciliations, cashflows, and forecasting, and preparing accurate financial reports
  • Providing financial, procurement, and risk management advice to senior management, staff, and the Libraries Board, including year‑end reporting
  • Managing contracts, procurement activities, and financial delegations in accordance with Treasurer's Instructions and government policies
  • Identifying and resolving complex accounting and invoicing issues, and contributing to business improvement initiatives
  • Coordinating and supporting a comprehensive risk management program that meets departmental and whole‑of‑government requirements
  • Preparing ad‑hoc financial and management reports and undertaking project work as required
Special Conditions
  • The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.
  • The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
  • Some work outside of normal hours will be required.
  • This role requires a National Criminal History check.

$89,007 - $98,991 p.a.
