About the role

The Lead – Country Initiatives drives the strategic development and delivery of employment programs aligned with the Country Education Strategy in South Australia. This role plays an important part in strengthening pathways into public education, helping ensure regional and remote communities have access to a strong and sustainable workforce.

Working with purpose in a collaborative, system-wide environment, you will lead program design, delivery and evaluation, ensuring initiatives respond to the unique needs of country communities. You will also shape engagement strategies to attract and support pre-service teachers and build accessible pathways into country employment opportunities.

In partnership with the Country Education team and other stakeholders, you will provide expert strategic advice, contribute to workforce analysis and forward planning, and support evidence-based decision making that improves outcomes across the system.

This role requires strong program delivery, leadership, strategic thinking and stakeholder engagement skills to lead continuous improvement and meaningful impact for communities across South Australia.

 

Qualifications

Essential: Nil

Desirable: Qualification in project management, leadership and management or appropriate discipline, or relevant experience.



Special conditions

The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.

The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration

ASO7 $112,163 - $121,246 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) and leave loading
