state. Student Support Services delivers high quality and culturally responsive services in partnership with schools and preschools to assist them in meeting the needs of all children. The Flexible Services Response Team, as part of Student Support Services, is committed to providing a range of flexible service delivery approaches including FIFO, Tele Practice, External Provider Program and cross office support. This position is responsible for speech pathology assessment and intervention services to students and children through a hybrid approach that combines FIFO and remote technology as a mode of delivery. Telepractice facilitates access to service for children and students who may have geographical, physical, or other limitations in receiving in-person support. As a
member of the multi-disciplinary team, the speech pathologist will
work closely with the Senior Speech Pathologist to deliver
evidence-based speech, language and communication interventions
within this telepractice mode of delivery. The speech pathologists
work under the direct professional guidance and support of the
senior speech pathologist. Essential: An appropriate degree or equivalent which gives eligibility for full membership to Speech Pathology Australia. Desirable:
Current Practising membership with Speech Pathology Australia with
Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist (CPSP) status. The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.
