policy development, evidence-based analysis and strategic
governance support within a fast-paced and collaborative

As the Senior Policy Officer, you will work across complex and
high-priority emergency management issues, leading policy analysis,
coordinating governance processes and supporting the delivery of
key programs and initiatives. You will prepare high-quality
briefings and advice for senior leaders, provide secretariat
support to state and national committees, and build strong
relationships across government and interagency networks to support
informed decision-making and effective policy implementation.
What you’ll do:
- Provide high-level policy analysis and support for the
development and implementation of emergency management-related
programs, policies and initiatives.
- Conduct high-level evidence-based research and analysis to
advise best practice on a range of emergency management-related
issues.
- Contribute to the implementation of legislation, policy and
regulatory frameworks.
- Coordinate and contribute to policy, governance and change
initiatives.
- Prepare high-quality briefings, reports and executive
correspondence.
- Build strong relationships across government, industry and
the community.
- Provide executive and governance support to relevant
committees.
To succeed in this role, you will bring experience
in:

- Writing clearly and confidently for a range of
audiences.
- Managing competing priorities and delivering results under
pressure.
- Building productive stakeholder relationships across
diverse sectors.

government or similarly complex environments.

Special Conditions:
- Some inter/intrastate travel, necessitating overnight stays
may be required.
- Some out-of-hours work may be required.
- May be required to participate in emergency incident
management duties.

Remuneration:
ASO6 - $102,171 - $108,071
