About the Opportunity

The Accounts Receivable Officer (ASO2) within Customer Financial Services is responsible for accurately processing, receipting, and reconciling a high volume of customer funds, including pensions, rental income, investments, and asset sales.

The role ensures timely and correct allocation of payments to estates, corporate ledgers, and rental accounts while maintaining strong data integrity and compliance with financial procedures. Working in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment, the officer collaborates with internal teams, external providers, and financial institutions to support effective service delivery and reporting. Key responsibilities include managing daily transactions, resolving discrepancies, supporting customer enquiries, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

The position requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to meet deadlines. Overall, the role supports reliable financial operations, high processing standards, and excellent customer service within the Public Trustee.

 

About the Business

The Office of the Public Trustee operates as part of the Attorney-General’s Department and was established under the Public Trustee Act 1995 (SA). It provides services including will preparation, powers of attorney, and administration of deceased and protected estates.

The Public Trustee also manages the personal, legal, and financial affairs of individuals who are unable to do so themselves. Our work is guided by a commitment to protecting the wishes and interests of those we serve.

Special Conditions for Employment

Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Successful applicants will be provided further information if an interview is requested. Forms are not to be lodged directly with SA Police (SAPOL) under any circumstances and any fees incurred by applicants in doing so will not be recoverable from the AGD.
