The Department for
Infrastructure and Transport plays a vital role connecting people
and places in South Australia by delivering a multi-billion-dollar
pipeline of transport and social infrastructure projects, operating
and maintaining thousands of kilometres of roads and managing our
city’s public transport network.
The
Opportunity
Service Delivery Officers work as part of a team across Service SA
centres and the Virtual Contact Centre, delivering frontline
customer service for a wide range of government services. They
handle enquiries, process vehicle registration and licensing
transactions, support applications for various government licences
and permits, and ensure accurate receipting in line with policy and
audit requirements. The role provides quality service across all
channels and helps customers understand their rights and
obligations.
About You
You bring a collaborative, can‑do attitude and communicate clearly,
respectfully, and with confidentiality when supporting diverse
customers. You interpret documents and follow guidelines
accurately, and you manage high volumes of work with strong
attention to detail while meeting deadlines. You work effectively
both independently and as part of a team, using sound judgement to
plan, prioritise, and organise tasks. You’re familiar with relevant
government programs, policies, and procedures, and you’re ready to
contribute to high‑quality, customer‑focused service
delivery.
Special
Conditions
- Must be
prepared to be reassigned to different Service SA locations
during periods of staff absences and high workloads or as
required to meet business need.
- A
National Police Check (NPC) is required prior to employment
with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must
be renewed every three years.
- A
Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to
employment with the Department for Infrastructure and
Transport, which must be renewed every five years before
expiry.
- This
role may be required to provide rostered after-hours on-call
support throughout the year.
- Some out
of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate
travel requiring overnight stays, may be
required.

ASO3 - $71,589 to $76,033 pa + superannuation
