About the Business

Community and Aboriginal Partnerships

Our Community and Aboriginal Partnerships Division helps to build community safety and wellbeing by providing support and services to children, young people and families, including those involved with the youth justice system, remote Aboriginal communities, and people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The division also supports DHS's Closing the Gap commitments.

Role Details

The Senior Business Support Officer - Payroll is a role within the Business Services Unit and is accountable to the Manager, Business Services for:
• providing efficient and effective Human Resources and payroll administrative support to facilitate the day-to-day operations of the business unit
• contributing to the development and review of local business practices and procedures
• liaising with internal and external stakeholders to establish and maintain productive working relationships
• assisting the Manager, Business Services in administrative matters and projects as required and general HR support to address staff related issues in accordance with local operational procedures and guidelines.

Having experience with UK Dimensions, Chris21, Basware, EMS and other public sector administrative systems and processes such as Objective is highly regarded. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel would also be highly desirable.

Special Conditions

National Police Check required.
Employment-related Screening Check required.
Some out of hours work may be required.
Will be required to work at various locations (Adelaide CBD and Kurlana Tapa Youth Justice Centre) on a rotational basis.
Must hold a current Australian issued driver's licence (equivalent to minimum class C).
