The Department for Infrastructure and Transport plays a vital role connecting people and places in South Australia by managing roads, marine and public transport networks across the State, and builds and maintains the State-owned infrastructure that enables the delivery of essential and important government services to our community.

The Opportunity 

Join the North–South Corridor Program Delivery Office (NSC PDO) in a pivotal leadership role that strengthens the business and operational foundations of one of South Australia’s most significant infrastructure programs.

As Divisional Manager, you’ll lead strategic day-to-day divisional operations and workforce performance across this high profile infrastructure initiative. Working closely with senior leaders, you’ll enhance decision making, lift operational efficiency and manage shifting priorities delivering meaningful impact on this state‑significant program.

About you 

You are a confident, strategic people leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-profile environments where judgement, discretion, and delivery matter. You bring strong experience in a similar environment, with hands on operational leadership, understanding how to turn complex, sensitive issues into clear advice and practical next steps.

With strong HR leadership, governance expertise and the ability to analyse sensitive issues confidentially, you excel in fast paced, politically sensitive environments. You leverage data and business systems to drive improvement, manage competing priorities and lead high performing teams to deliver complex infrastructure program outcomes.

Educational Qualifications / Licences 

  • A current drivers Licence is essential.

Special Conditions 

  • A National Police Check (NPC) is required prior to employment in the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.
  • Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.

Tenure of Vacancy
Temporary appointment up to one to five (1 to 5) years.

Remuneration
ASO8 - $125,649 to $130,392 pa + superannuation.
