Corporate Governance Lead independently manages governance and risk processes, leads improvement projects, and ensures organisational standards and timelines.

About the role: 

Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Services - Duties for the role will include:

  • Leading and coordinating the initiation, planning, delivery, and closure of projects including strengthening integrated governance across SALHN.
  • Preparing reports, briefings, data analytics, and presentations to various audiences, including Executives and the Board.
  • Provide accurate and contemporary advice on governance to stakeholders to support them in fulfilling their responsibilities and progressing outcomes.
  • Strengthening the committee framework and structures within the organisation, based in risk management, performance, culture and compliance, collaborating with Executive and senior staff.
  • Coordinating responses on behalf of the organisation to requests from internal and external parties to inform governance arrangements.

About you:

  • Demonstrated experience in governance systems and processes, including change management and/or continuous improvement to practices to benefit the organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing stakeholder engagement, risk management and project within complex projects and or programs of work.
  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines, achieve performance outcomes in a context of competing expectations and perform well under pressure in an environment characterised by large workloads, interruptions, and change.
  • High level of interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels from a range of professions, and to develop rapport and effective, positive working relationships with staff at all levels.
