About the Role
Renewal SA is seeking an experienced and results-driven Principal Procurement Manager to lead the delivery of end-to-end procurement services across our organisation.

In this key role, you'll provide expert advice, oversee planning, sourcing and contract management processes, and ensure value for money is achieved while risks are effectively managed. You'll also play a critical role in building supplier relationships, improving procurement systems, and ensuring compliance with policy, procedure, and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Provide expert advice on best practice procurement and contract management, aligning strategies with project and organisational goals.
  • Tailored Services: Learn and understand the unique needs of business units to deliver effective procurement solutions.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate procurement risks, assess supplier capability, and implement risk strategies.
  • Full Lifecycle Management: Oversee end-to-end procurement and contract lifecycle, ensuring sourcing, evaluation, performance, compliance, and dispute resolution.
  • Continuous Improvement & People Development: Enhance procurement systems, processes, and registers while providing mentorship within the team.

About You
You are a strategic and commercially astute professional with a background or interest in construction procurement. You thrive on managing and implementing complex, strategic procurements and contracts and have a talent for balancing rigorous compliance with practical, commercially-sound solutions. You're a confident leader, a negotiator, and a natural relationship builder who excels at engaging with diverse stakeholders.


You will bring:

  • Proven experience in procurement, contract management, or commercial roles within complex and strategic projects or organisations, accompanied by relevant Tertiary qualifications.
  • A combination of contractual knowledge and commercial acumen.
  • Strong understanding of public sector procurement frameworks, government legislation, and best practice approaches.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • The ability to analyse markets, assess supplier performance, and identify opportunities for improvement.
