We are currently seeking applications for a Contract Manager, to join the South Australian Government Financing Authority (SAFA) at the Department of Treasury & Finance for an ongoing role.

Remuneration:  ASO6 – Salary Range ($102,171 - $108,071 p.a.).

The Contract Manager is responsible for advising on and managing industry assistance contracts between the South Australian Government and businesses in alignment with the State's economic development objectives. This impactful role involves evaluating business performance, managing contractual obligations, and safeguarding the Government's interests through strategic oversight and risk management.
The Contract Manager reports to the Manager, Advisory Services.
Your team will collaborate to solve vitally important problems with solutions of meaningful benefit to the South Australian economy and the wider community.

You have a keen eye for detail but an ability to think outside the box.

To be successful you will have:
  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience in financial analysis, including interpreting financial statements and financial modelling.
  • Experience in negotiating and developing commercial contracts
  • Experience in drafting and/or preparing written correspondence to internal and external clients
  • Proven ability to understand and administer commercial contracts of a complex nature.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex commercial concepts clearly and persuasively, and to prepare concise, well-structured advice and correspondence for a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement practical solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise, and work independently under broad direction.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement experience across public and private sectors at senior levels.
  • Sound knowledge of business finance, financial management practices, and contract law fundamentals.

These services include undertaking financial reviews to inform structuring financial support packages; advising on fund guidelines; contract formation, negotiation, restructures and settlement; industry assistance (principally loans and grants) and plenty more.
